Passionate followers of the actress are calling for that a individual who leaped a barricade and touched the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be detained or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared clip reveals the individual from Australia bypassing photographers and rushing toward Grande while the actors made its way down a event pathway surrounded by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being detained", though court documents indicated that he was scheduled to appear on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram account includes videos of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney performance in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last December.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is obviously a legal violation," commented an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user wrote.

Followers Voice Worry Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Several followers accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from PTSD after a devastating incident at the end of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote another response on Instagram.

Several supporters also questioned security officers at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while others requested social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's content.

Response and Event Details

In clips circulating online, Grande appeared shocked when she was grabbed by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Many of Singapore attendees had queued up to meet the cast of Wicked

Hundreds of supporters had congregated in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore mall, including some who had waited for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The film, to be released on 21 November, is the sequel of a two-film adaptation of the popular theatrical production Wicked, which centers on the unlikely relationship between two contrasting witches.

The production itself is a derivative of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful movie of last year in the UK, and scored a dozen Academy Award nods, earning several for outstanding attire and production design.
