British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Tragic Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, officials in Lagos stated on late Wednesday. The 36-year-old was part of a serious road collision near Lagos on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that claimed the lives of two of his close associates.
Under Observation for Minor Injuries
Joshua had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his management team stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on X that Joshua was declared medically stable to “recuperate at home”.
“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two friends who passed away as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the commissioner stated.
Honoring the Deceased
Those who lost their lives were named as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and overcome with emotion over the passing of his two trusted companions.”
